Play OJO has launched a responsible gambling campaign in Sweden. They’ll be hoping to raise their reputation in the heart of one one of the most efficient and productive cities in Europe.
The campaign is question will involve a Swedish version of the ‘Thumbs Up’ advertising campaign being broadcasted in the UK. From TV to radio and digital messages, the campaign will be all over Sweden.
This includes coverage on some of Sweden’s biggest TV channels – TV3, TV6 and Kanal 5 being some.
Play OJO’s role will include providing the tools to ensure responsible gambling takes place. Whether its deposit limits or restrictions on play, the aim of the game is to help the play stay in control.
And Play OJO brand marketing manager, Peter Bennett, has echoed exactly that:
”The aim is to ensure that players are properly protected…We believe our Thumbs Up campaign will further establish that”.
There are many other gaming platforms that have taken a leaf from Play OJO’s book in the last few months. Swedish regulator Spelinspektionen is the latest to follow suit. Indeed, the company are looking to enforce a blanket ban on gambling ads that promote irresponsible gambling.
The regulators are set to meet with the operators on September 17th to analyse this further.
But first, Play OJO. Their move to crack down on poor gambling across Sweden could be a watershed move. We’ve already seen that such initiatives can cause a chain reaction. If more and more online casino sites start to do the same, the scene of online gambling could be revolutionised.
